Bringing Healing to Our Communities

As Black, Indigenous, and Women of Color, sacred time and space for healing is necessary for our mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. Women Heal & Rise was created specifically for BIPOC women to share their lived experiences of navigating a complex world with other women who can relate and connect. When we heal, our communities heal.

Our 6-Week Healing Journey

An Awakening to Inner Peace

Join us on a transformative 6-week journey, where you will step into a collective space designed to see you, hear you, and hold you in the sacred embrace of healing. Our program is a holistic exploration of your inner world, incorporating somatic practices that help you reconnect with your body’s wisdom and resilience.

We invite you to dive deep into your ancestral and cultural healing practices, recognizing the wisdom passed down through generations as a source of strength and guidance. In this safe and nurturing environment, we’ll guide you through mindfulness techniques that allow you to cultivate self-awareness and self-compassion. Additionally, our grief practices will provide a space to process and heal from the profound losses often experienced on the path of intersectional oppression.

We seek to engage participants in various ways, through small group exercises with large group share-outs, restorative practices, structured healing exercises, self-assessment, action planning, reading lists, and sharing wisdom and resources. Three key areas we will focus on include naming, understanding, and prioritizing ourselves as it connects to healing, from an individual and collective space.  Potential tools, strategies, and resources we cover may  include:

Together, we embark on a journey of holistic well-being, where you will not only heal but also rise into your truest self, fortified by the collective support and wisdom of our community. It’s time to prioritize your healing, connect with your roots, and reclaim your power. Join us and let your journey of transformation begin.

Three key areas of focus

Connect & Heal

Naming Your
Experience

In the journey of healing and rising from racial trauma and intersecting forms of oppression, the first step is naming your experience. It's about acknowledging the weight of the burdens you carry and giving voice to the emotions that often go unheard. We provide an empowering space for you to speak your truth, share your story, and declare that your experiences matter. By naming your experiences, you begin the powerful process of reclaiming your identity and power.

Understanding the Layers of Your Healing

Understanding is the bridge that connects your past and present, enabling you to navigate your journey of healing and rising with intention. We believe that true healing is rooted in knowledge and self-awareness. Here, you'll find resources, practices, and a community of women who are committed to unraveling the complex layers of their trauma and oppression. By understanding the roots of your pain, you can start the transformative process of embracing your strength, resilience, and resistance.

Prioritizing Yourself: Rest as Resistance

In a world that often demands more than it gives, prioritizing yourself becomes an act of resistance. We champion the idea that caring for yourself and self-love are revolutionary acts. Women Heal, and Rise is a sanctuary where you can learn to prioritize your well-being, where rest is a form of resistance against the forces that seek to diminish your light. It's a space where you'll discover practices to nourish your mind, body, and spirit. Remember, in caring for yourself, you pave the way for a brighter, more empowered future, not just for yourself, but for the generations to come.
